An English teacher is required for 2021-2022 academic year.

A High School English teacher is required to teach within Grades 9-12.  The position can include teaching to the IB Diploma at both Higher & Standard levels. The school delivers the bi-lingual qualification at ‘IB’ Diploma level. The Turkish students are tested in English as a first language and the department uses Literature as a springboard to teach and assess language skills.  The IB is complimented by a homespun curriculum that covers the Turkish Ministry of Education courses in English, which are rooted in the IB philosophy and learner profile, from Grades 9-12.

Candidates should –

• Have a minimum of two years teaching experience
• Be familiar with the programmes and demands of the ‘IB’ Diploma courses at Higher & Standard levels
• Have experience of other university entrance English courses such as ‘AP,’ ‘A’- level or equivalent as well as preparatory courses used in Grades 9-10
• Have an ongoing interest in pedagogy and all aspects of teaching & learning
• Have demonstrated collaborative involvement with colleagues
